The Rechna Doab (“land between two rivers”) is the interfluvial sedimentary basin of the Chenab and Ravi rivers in Pakistan. It is one of the oldest, agriculturally richest and most intensively populated irrigated areas of Punjab by: Doab (dō`ăb), term applied in India to a tract of land between two converging Doab, unqualified by the names of any rivers, designates the tract in Uttar Pradesh state between the Ganges and Yamuna rivers, extending from the Shiwalik Range to the rivers' confluence at Allahabad.
